Hassayampa River Ranch
Some residents are required to begin their stay at our Intensive Ranch Program. This three-month experience stabilizes young adults in an intensive introduction to responsibility, life skills and recovery from addiction in a setting that promotes healing. From there, they transition to the main campus setting and continue their work while being re-integrated back into the community.
The first 90 days of recovery can be a very critical period and the "Ranch" provides the supervision, structure, and support needed during this time. Complete immersion to the 12-steps, higher levels of staffing and a more intimate setting all complement the approach. Located on 6000 acres of pristine Southern Arizona desert land, the physical ranch is nine miles from town which can help an individual focus without being distracted by everyday "triggers".
"The ranch gave me the opportunity to re-center. Being away from all of the distractions and worries of a big city allowed me the time I needed to work on myself. The three months at the ranch prepared me for the challenges I was about to face at main campus. If it weren't for the ranch, I would have left. Now I have the opportunity to help others that are in the same situation I was in."
